Mrs. Flomer’s class notes for the week of May 19th!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week! There are changes in Spelling and Reading due to the Spring Musical and the upcoming 4-day weekend.
Spelling- The words for this week are: ten, five, less, feet, sum, miles, from, people, these, horses. There will be a spelling test on this week’s words next Thursday (5/ 29). Sentences are due by Thursday this week.
Phonics- contractions
Language Arts– comparative writing
Reading: There will be a Reading test on the article “On the Go” NEXT Thursday (5/29). This is the final story in our Reading series. The “R” book words are review: horses, people, these, from. I will be giving an End of Book Test next Friday.
Math– place value; adding multiples of ten to 2 digit numbers
Social Studies– symbols of our country
The last Social Studies test will be given the week of June 2nd.
Science– Matter
Religion– Jesus died for us
Class News
Wednesday 5/28 Field Day 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Information will go home this week.
Tuesday 6/3: Class trip to the Planetarium- Please send a bagged lunch to school (with drinks and snacks) as we will be eating lunch there, weather permitting. The cost for the show is paid for by our generous PTFA.
Friday 6/13: Picnic at Cantiague Park for K-5
We will meet at the Park. More information will be sent home soon.
