Spelling- There are no new words this week. When we return from Christmas break, the children will start to write sentences for their spelling words. We will start out slowly, writing only 3 sentences at first.
Reading: We will not be starting a new story this week. We will be doing some Christmas reading comprehension activities.
Math- There will be a test on chapter 6 (using place value to model and write numbers to 120) the week we come back from vacation (Tuesday 1/6).
Science- Parts of a plant
Social Studies- Test Wednesday on Unit 2
Books were sent home last week.

Our Christmas program is Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Please have your child here by 6:45 wearing dress clothes.
Our Christmas luncheon for the children is this Thursday. You do not have to send in lunch that day, as we will have lunch and snacks at the party. We will be making crafts that day too! Please remember to send in the wrapped “item” immediately if you have not already done so. Food items for the party should arrive by 11 a.m. Thank you to all!
The children should wear dress clothes to school on Wednesday for our party.
There will be a Christmas chapel service on Friday at 10:30 a.m. if you would like to attend.
Please send in your child’s Christmas cards for his/her classmates by Wednesday.
