Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words this week are: in, will, did, sit, six, big. The vocabulary (“R” book) words are: animal, of, how, some, make, why. The children will write their 10 words 3x each by Wednesday. The Vocabulary words from their “R” book count as part of their Spelling test. There will be a Spelling test on Friday.
Phonics- words with short i; r blends; -ip words
Language Arts- commas
Reading: We will read the story How Animals Communicate. The children will read it again at home. There will be Reading tests on Friday.
Math- Chapter 3 test on Wednesday
There will be a practice test given on Tuesday.
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2
Science- Habitats
Social Studies- Unit 1 test on Thursday-The book was sent home last week to study.
1AA News
Our Star of the Week is BEN!
This is Spirit Week for the middle school. The first graders will be participating on Monday for Mismatch Day. We will also participate in Dress Your Best Day on Wednesday.
This is the last week of the 1st quarter of the school year! I will be evaluating the children in many areas this week.
We will have our Fall Pumpkin Party on Friday. Thank you to our class moms for organizing it and to those who will be sending in goodies!
Please continue to ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, etc.) and send them in as soon as possible.
Remember to check your child’s folder each night and remove the papers.
