I hope everyone had a great weekend! Here’s a look at what we are doing this week:
SPELLING- The new words for this week are: barn, core, roar, her, learn, corn, more, soar, dirt, sure. The “S” book is due on Thursday (3x each and 5 sentences). Test on Friday.
PHONICS- Words with r and s blends; final blends; writing stories
READING- We will read about inventions this week (non-fiction stories). The “R” book words are: better, guess, learn, right, sure, began. Our focus will be on abbreviations, adjectives that compare: -er and -est, and r-controlled words: or, ore, oar.
MATH- We will continue with chapter 12: adding and sutracting by tens, making a ten to add, adding/subtracting 10 more and 10 less.
RELIGION- Stories about Jesus and Easter
SCHOLASTIC NEWS- Animals coming out of hibernation
SOCIAL STUDIES- Schools and Communities: past/present
