I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend, and that the moms had a very Happy Mother’s Day! Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:
SPELLING- The new words are: moon, flew, fruit, toy, enough, tune, blue, soup, coin, door. The “S” book is due on Thursday.
PHONICS- We will focus on words with -ck, ch, wh, and th, and will be writing sentences/stories using those words.
READING- We will read fiction and non fiction stories this week. The focus will be on ue, ew, and oo words. We will also learn about synonyms and pronouns. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Unit check-up on Life Past and Present
SCIENCE- Habitats
SCHOLASTIC NEWS- Habitats: The Pond
RELIGION- Ascension Day
MATH- Review chapter 13 (2 digit addition and subtraction)- test on Thursday

I will be sending in the Scholastic book orders this Wednesday. Please send in your order if you would like to order books for your child, or you can order directly online using our class code.
All the children are so excited to perform their Spring Show for you on Tuesday evening! Please have your child here (in the classroom) by 6:45.
