This is a short week of school. Here are some of the things we will be doing:

There will be no new spelling words this week. We will not be starting a new reading lesson/story until after Easter break. We will spend time this week reading comprehension stories about Easter and answering questions (as we do on our reading tests). The children did well on their reading tests, considering it was the first time they had to read the comprehension story on their own.

We have finished chapter 11 in Math, and will have a test on Tuesday. We have been spending a lot of time practicing comparing numbers using signs.

On Wednesday, we will have an Easter brunch in the classroom with bagels, and fruit salad. That afternoon, there will be a Tenebrae service at the end of the day, right before dismissal.

We will spend time learning about Holy Week, and how Jesus died for us and rose again on Easter Day.

I would like to wish all the families a Blessed, Happy Easter! Enjoy the time off from school, and be safe if you are traveling.
