Dear Parents,
This week we will be learning about the color brown, the number 7 and hexagons. We will also begin exploring the letter Dd and words that begin with that letter. We will be working 2 art projects in our classroom this week. The first is a marble painting to mimic a spider web. In addition, we will be learning about bones and making our own skeletons. In art, we will be making our own Kandinsky paintings.
We will be reading “Bear’s Busy Family”, “What Mommies Do Best/What Daddies Do Best”, “Feast for 10” and “My Day From A to Z”. We will continue to talk about family, what roles our family members have and sharing our personal experiences.
In math, we will be measuring and comparing lengths and continue counting.
We continue to practice writing our names independently throughout the day on all of our work. In addition, each day we are practicing identifying our own names during circle time.
We will be going to chapel this week on Wednesday and we will also have a special visitor this week. Our school nurse will be coming to visit our classroom to talk about healthy habits.
I will be sending homework packets out on Monday which will be due by Friday.
