Hello Parents,
There is no school on Friday due to professional development for the staff.
We will be baking monkey bread on Thursday of this week. Thank you to all who signed up to bring items for baking and for our St. Patrick’s Day Green Party.
We are beginning a new theme, Growing Up Healthy. The first unit is entitled, My Senses.
BIG Idea: The five senses help me explore my world. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Social-Emotional Focus: Self-Awareness Vocabulary Theme Words: hear, smell, see, sound, senses, taste, sight and touch.
This week we will be reviewing letters A-T, numbers 1-17, and all the shapes that we have learned. We are beginning the letter U and the children will be writing the brainstorm words they come up with. We are continuing to learn sight words which is the beginning step for early reading.
Stories: Look, Listen, and Learn, My 5 senses, The Shape of Things.
Jesus Time: we will continue talking about Lent.
There is no pizza this week.
