Earth Science 8: This week we continue our study of latitude/longitude focusing on determining latitude and longitude using other parameters. Another QUEST will be given on this material next week. A date is forthcoming.

The last day I accept the atmosphere lab before it is considered late will be Tuesday 10/28/2014. Please come to me with questions if you are not sure about a certain part of it.

 

7th grade Life Science: This week we will continue or study of what makes something alive (features of life) as well as the things an organism needs to survive! A quiz on the features of life section of the notes will be given next week on Wednesday 10/29/2014 (This is section 1 of Chapter 2 in the textbook). Extra help will be given Wednesday morning. It is strongly recommended that students  review their notes to study for the quiz.

 The last day I will accept quiz corrections from Quiz 1 Chapter 1 is Tuesday 10/28/2014

 

6th Grade Earth Science: This week we will wrap up our measurement and tools mini-chapter. A test on Chapter 1 and the Measurement Packet will be given on Halloween-October 31, 2014. A review sheet will be provided on Wednesday.

The best way to study for this exam is to review the review sheet given out on Wednesday.


 

Astronomy: This week we will begin to learn about the different types of telescopes.

Health: We will continue to work on our concept map project. This project counts as a test grade. Students should make sure they have completed all parts as indicated by the directions sheet, including the creativity category!
