Math Grade 6
This week we are starting our second unit on fractions. This unit covers addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions. We will eventually take these skills and apply them to word problems. This week will focus on multiplying and dividing fractions. We will also be working on a fraction lab using recipes.
Extra help will be on Wednesdays from 7:45-8:15
Math Grade 7
This week we are continuing with Unit 2. This week our focus will be on Module 5, which covers percent problems and percent of increase and decrease.

Pre-Algebra
This week we are working on our solving equations chapter. Last week, equations involving 2 steps, multi-steps, and fractions was covered. This week we will be solving equations with variables on both sides, writing and solving algebraic equations from word problems, and consecutive integer word problems.

Algebra
This week we are finishing up with Chapter 5 on linear equations. We covered slope, y-intercept, and different ways to graph a line, including using a table, x and y intercepts, and slope-intercept form. We also learned about various forms of a line including point slope and standard form. We discussed scatter plots and trend lines, as well as how to graph absolute value equations. This week we will be reviewing for our test.
Wednesday, 11/2 – Test on Chapter 5.
