Happy New Year to everyone!
For those parents whose child is attending the Learning Center:
*If your child has a Learning Center Notebook please remember to check it on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
*Feel free to write back with any questions or comments you may have.
*When work is classwork is completed in the Leaning Center there will be a note advising you.
We are coming to the end of the Second quarter shortly. You are probably seeing trends in your child’s performance.
Here are a few things to keep in mind for success in the classroom:
* Be sure your child has their planner each day. Check to see that all assignments are completed.
* Do not wait until the night before a test to study. Segment the material days before and do an overall review the night before a test.
* Check to see that your child has all homework and necessary items the night before to avoid scrambling around for things in the morning.
* Encourage your child to do their best; don’t let them settle for mediocrity.
* Encourage your child to do their neatest work. Neatness does count!
* Partner with your child’s teacher. Your child is in the classroom for approximately 6 hours each day. The teacher gets to know each child as an individual.
* Above all, be an advocate for your child. They need to know that your want only what is best for them. Let them know they can come to you and you will listen. They will never forget that!
