The Learning Center is available during the school day to students who are experiencing difficulty with some area of the classroom curriculum.  These children are referred by the classroom teacher for some short-term remediation.  Often the problem can be addressed with some one-on-one or small group intervention.  The time spent in the Learning Center is usually in one-half hour intervals. Parents should not be alarmed if their child’s teacher suggests that their child might need the services of the Learning Center.  Problems caught quickly can often avoid long-term difficulties.  Permission slips will be sent home if the need for extra help is suggested. Children are taken out of the classroom, so there are times when they may “miss” what is being covered in the class.  Every effort will be make to insure that your child catches up with the classroom material. If you have any questions about the Learning Center, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Blessings, Mrs. Komarnicki
