READING-  We will continue with the same activities as last week, but in addition we will practice recognizing lower case letters out of sequence, and identify shapes, and colors.

MATH- The positional terms for this week are, top, middle, bottom, and left and right. We will also discuss how and why objects are the same and different, and begin sorting objects by one or more attributes, i.e. color, shape, and size.

You can help by:

  • using positional terms at home when asking your child to find things.
  • have your child help you sort socks and shoes by size, shape, color,  sort the utensils in your silverware drawer, or any other sorting activity that presents itself.

RELIGION- We are continuing to talk of Creation and the original sin.

SCIENCE- We are exploring our five senses further, and creating a five senses book.

SOCIAL STUDIES- Our discussion this week is showing others that we care, and ways to be a good friend. At home you can discuss your friendships with others and stress the importance of treating others with respect even when you disagree.

HANDWRITING- See notes from last week.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Night, Wednesday, September 18th at 7:00P.M. The meeting will begin in the church. This meeting is for adults.

Please check the uniform list for proper dress code, as many students have not been up to code, especially in the wearing of appropriate socks, shirts, and pants. Reminder: Sneakers may ONLY be worn with uniform shorts, even on Gym days.

Please help your child memorize The Pledge of Allegiance, and the school Bible verse.

Weekly Quote: “What do we live for if not to make the world less difficult for each other?”

May God bless your week.
