READING – Our class will be completing our Reading Series this week, with a review of all initial and final consonants as well as medial short vowel sounds. Both the class book and practice book will be sent home so you can help your child review the material for UNIT 6 as we will have a Unit 6 test on Monday, June 9th. On Thursday, June 12th we’ll have a final test covering material we’ve learned throughout the year.

MATH – We have completed our chapter on Addition and Subtraction and will have a test this THURSDAY, June 5th. Math papers will be sent home TUESDAY, 6/3 to help your child review.

RELIGION – The Bible stories being discussed are, Jesus talks about heaven, Pentecost, and the acts of the Apostles.

SCIENCE – We are continuing to discuss caterpillars/butterflies, ladybugs and the growth of plants.

SOCIAL STUDIES/SCHOLASTIC MAG. – School friends, and our favorite thing about Kindergarten is our focus.

HANDWRITING – We are practicing J-j, Y-y, QU-qu, H-h, and Z-z. We will finish by writing our whole name correctly, and by writing sentences.

JOURNAL – Our sentence to write and draw is, Field Day was fun!

REMINDERS –

K-5 picnic is Friday, June 13 at Cantiague Park. An adult must accompany each student.

Our Closing Program is Tuesday, June 17th in the church at 10:00A.M. There is no school for Kindergarten students on the 18th.
