READING- The letter “G-g” is our focus letter and we’ll learn the initial and final “hard g” sound as in goat and pig respectively. We will also practice naming words, (nouns), which name a person, place, or thing, continue identifying the beginning, middle and ending of stories, summarize stories using pictures and words, read the high frequency word “he”, and the mini book, He Is Pug. In addition I will read a listening lesson to improve comprehension.

MATH- I will individually assess the students on the concepts “1 more and 1 less,” and their ability to count and match numbers to quantities.

RELIGION- We are continuing stories of the miracles of Jesus.

SCIENCE- Signs of Spring will continue to be explored.

SOCIAL STUDIES/SCHOLASTIC MAG.- Last week we discussed the wind and the ways wind is used instead of fire safety, so we will complete last week’s topic this week.

HANDWRITING- The class will practice “G” and “g” on the lines.

JOURNAL-  We will write the sentence, “See me in the mud!” Then we’ll draw a picture to match the sentence.
