READING-  At the beginning of the week students will review:

1.High frequency words, “see,” “we,” “to,” and “a.”

2.Letter sounds m/m, s/s, t/t, c/k, p/p, and short a/a.

3.Blending the afore-mentioned letters to read words.

On FRIDAY, 1/22 the class will have a Unit 2 reading test. 

A study sheet will be sent home on Wednesday, 1/20.

MATH- As we continue to practice addition, our focus will be on number pairs for 5, 6, and 7.

RELIGION- “The boy Jesus in the temple” is this week’s Bible story.

SCIENCE- The class will discuss signs of winter, and how birds keep warm in cold weather.

HANDWRITING- Students will practice printing “S-s” and “M-m” on lines.

REMINDERS

If your child did not have his/her picture taken at the beginning of the school year, they can have it taken Wednesday, 1/20.
