READING – Our first Reading chapter’s theme is Families. We will be reading the following stories, Building with Dad, What Makes a Family, and poems about families. We’ll  continue to identify rhyming words, review letters, Kk-Oo, read wordless stories using expression, classify and categorize family words, recognize that a noun names a person, and write names.

MATH – Our class will explore ways to make 5, to count and order to 5, and to understand the concept of zero.

RELIGION – Our Bible story is “The fall into sin,” and that God forgives all people. We should also forgive others.

SOCIAL STUDIES –  We are discussing families. We all have different families and they are all special. As part of Reading we will explore how all families are the same.

SCIENCE – We will continue with living and non-living things, and how air and water helps living things.

JOURNAL – We will write, I am a boy/girl, and draw a picture.
