Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling-The words for this week are: can, had, cat, ran, an, bad. The vocabulary (“R” book) words are: away, every, call, hear, come, said. The children will write their 12 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. The vocabulary words from their “R” book count as part of their Spelling test.
Phonics- -ck, /a/
Language Arts- complete sentences
Reading: We will read the story Jack and the Wolf . The children will read it again at home. They will have to compare Jack and the Wolf to The Three Little pigs (in their hard covered reading books). There will be Reading tests on Friday.
Math- adding 10; making 10 to add; adding 3 numbers
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2
Science- Habitats- Ocean
Social Studies- Neighbors

Our Star of the Week is Kahenya! We are looking forward to learning all about her!
This is Spirit week, and your child can dress in PJ’s on Monday, Dress their Best on Wednesday, and wear a sports shirt on Friday!
Ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, crayons, etc.) and send them in as soon as possible.
Please remember to check your child’s folder each night and remove the papers. Also, check and initial their homework books nightly.
