Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families,

Happy Thanksgiving! It is hard to believe that it is already Thanksgiving.

Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:

ELA: This week we will finish our class read-aloud Matilda, by Ronald Dahl. We will focus on characterizing the main characters of the text and comparing them. We will be creating character diagrams about our favorite character from the book. This characterization project will be counted as a test grade in ELA. In writing we will be finishing the drafts of our argument writing.

Math: This week in Math we are working on strengthening our skills of multiplication and division. We will also be playing a Math Thanksgiving game. We will not be using IntoMath this week. Please help them Helpful handouts, videos, charts, reteach pages, and the HW can all be found on Google Classroom and are excellent resources.

Religion: This week we will continue our Religion Kindness Challenge, as well as continue our unit of study on the New Testament. There will be a religion test on Tuesday 11-26.

Social Studies: This week we will be learning about the first thanksgiving, as it aligns with our chapter on colonization.

Science: This week in science we will be reading the book the Plump and Perky Turkey, and will be creating our entry for the Turkey Competition. Our Turkeys must stand on their two pipe cleaner feet.

Blessings,

Ms. Stainkamp
