We have an exciting week planned ahead! This week we will be focusing on the following topics in each subject listed below.
ELA- This week we will be continuing our class read-aloud, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. Our skill for the week is characterization. We will be analyzing the characters in our read-aloud. In grammar we will be learning about conjunctions. There will be a spelling quiz on 5-13.
Math- This week we will be beginning Chapter 12, Units of Measurement. As always, the Reteach and HW pages will be available on Google Classroom. Splash Learning is a great tool to help practice and review math skills, and has a great feature to help students practice their fact fluency at home. Please continue to work with your child on fact fluency.
Social Studies- This week in S.S. we will be beginning chapter 6, Social Change and the Civil War. We will complete our first lesson in chapter 6, A New Way to Travel.
Science- We will continue our unit, Energizing Everything. We will continue learning about the different types of Energy.
Religion- This week we will continue Unit 7 from our Religion Book. Jesus Teaches and Performs Miracles (The Parable of the Sower – Jesus Raises Lazarus)
Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points, and I am looking forward to an amazing week learning with an amazing class.
