Hello fabulous fourth grade families,

As a reminder this week is a short week due to professional development and Memorial Day. 

Below is what we will be focusing on this week! 

ELA: This week in ELA will begin our final class read-aloud, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. We will begin to peer edit our fictional narratives, and begin the final draft process. 

Math: This week in math we will finish Module 19- Customary Units of Measurement. This is a quick chapter. There will bea quiz on Tuesday, and a test on Wednesday. Students will be given the conversion chart, and do not need to memorize the conversions. As always, please see the resources on google classroom. 

Religion: In Religion we will continue learning about the Parables of Jesus. 

Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue chapter 7- NY transforms.There will be a project due on May 22nd based on Ellis Island. 

Science: In science we will begin our next unit of study- Energizing Everything. We will be looking at lesson 2 focusing on the question, What makes roller coasters go faster?
