Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
Happy Read Across America Week! This week we will be going to the book fare on Monday 3-4. Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:

ELA: This week in ELA will be focusing on reading texts to help us answer the question, why do we need government? We will also be finishing our class read-aloud, I Survived the California Wildfires, 2018. We will be having a spelling test on 3-15. Words will be posted on Google Classroom, there will be spelling menu for HW Monday-Thursday.

Math: This week in math we will continue Module 13, Using Fractions to Understand Angles. We will be exploring the different types of angles, lines, and types of fractional parts. We will also begin exploring how to use a protractor. This is a vocabulary heavy chapter in math, please help your child become familiar and confident with the vocabulary.

Religion: In Religion we will continue learning stories of the Old Testament.

Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue Chapter 5- A New Nation. We begin to learn about the formation of our new government, and learn about the specific documents that govern the U.S.A. Specifically this week we will be learning about the constitution and branches of government.

Science: In science we will continue our finished unit of study, Waves of Sound. There will be a test on 3-8, a comprehensive review sheet will be completed on Monday as a study tool.
