Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
Please see below what we will be learning each day this week. There is no school Thursday March 28th until Monday April 8th in observance of Easter and Holy Week.
ELA: This week in ELA will be focusing on reading “The Message” This fiction play is a historical fiction play that tells the story of female pilots who helped win World War II. Our skill of the week is plot. In writing we are writing our final drafts for our Mummy Opinion Essays. Students have the choice to type or hand write their final copy.
Math: This week in math we will complete Module 14, Understand Addition and Subtraction of Fractions with Like Denominators. There will be a quiz on Wednesday, 3-27. There will be no test for Module 14.
Religion: In Religion we will be learning about Holy Week, Lent, and Palm Sunday.
Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue Chapter 5- A New Nation. As an additional challenge, students can earn a no HW pass if they memorize the 50 states and their capitals.
Science: In science we will begin our next unit of study, the human body. Each week we will be exploring a new system in the human body. This week we will be learning about the Skeletal System. We will be starting to make our life size human bodies.
