This week we will be focusing on the following topics in each subject listed below.
ELA- This week we will continue working on writing paragraphs. We will also be reading a short story titled, Becoming Darth Vader by Allison Friedman. This text is a nonfiction article about James Earl Jones the boy who stuttered and grew up to have one of the most famous voices in the world. There will be a vocabulary quiz on Friday, and a final copy of our paragraph is also due on Friday.
Math- This week we continue chapter 10 two-dimensional shapes. Splash Learning is a great tool to help practice new math skills. Please continue to work with your child on fact fluency. As always, the Reteach and HW pages will be available on Google Classroom.
Social Studies- This week we will continue chapter 4, The Revolutionary War in New York State. We will be learning about the U.S. winning the revolutionary war.
Science– We will begin our New Unit, Energizing Everything.
Religion- This week we will be focusing on the importance of prayer. Each day I continue to challenge the class to do at least one act of kindness every day during lent. Each day students will be challenged to add one link to the class kindness chain.
Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points, and I am looking forward to an amazing week learning with an amazing class.
