Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
Please see below what we will be learning each day this week. There is no school Friday for Professional Development.
ELA: This week in ELA will be focusing on reading “Fly Girl.” This fiction play is a historical fiction play that tells the story of female pilots who helped win World War II. Our skill of the week is Main Idea. There will be a comprehension quiz on Thursday 3-21. We will be learning Progressive Form Verbs. Our Mummy Opinion Essays will be due on Thursday 3-21.
Math: This week in math we will complete Module 14, Understand Addition and Subtraction of Fractions with Like Denominators.
Religion: In Religion we will be learning about Holy Week, Lent, and Palm Sunday.
Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue Chapter 5- A New Nation. We will be focusing on how New York adapted to the new government.
Science: In science we will begin our next unit of study, the human body. Each week we will be exploring a new system in the human body. This week we will be learning about the Skeletal System.
