We have an exciting week planned ahead ! I am excited to begin to wrap up an amazing school year with this incredible class!! It is hard to believe that this week is our last full week of school. With the weather becoming nicer, my hope is to spend as much time outside as possible. If your child would like to bring in a beach towel to sit on the grass they are welcome too. Please make sure that it is labeled with your child’s name.

This week we will be focusing on the following topics in each subject listed below.

ELA – This week we will be completing end of the year benchmarks, as well as our Fountas and Panell testing. (This is your child’s reading level) We will also be starting our last read-aloud The Hundred Dresses.

Math- This week we finish our last unit of math, learning about Area and Perimeter. Splash Learning is a great tool to help practice and review math skills, and has a great feature to help students practice their fact fluency at home. Please continue to work with your child on fact fluency.

Social Studies- This week in S.S. We will finish chapter 6, Social Change and the Civil War.

Science- We will continue our unit, Energizing Everything. We continue our STEAM project that will be finished on June 9th. I am excited to see what amazing creations the class produces.

Religion- This week we will continue Unit 7 from our Religion Book. Jesus Teaches and Performs Miracles (The Parable of the Sower – Jesus Raises Lazarus) as well as making Salvation Bracelets to remind us of Jesus’ love for us.

Please always reach out if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is through talking points, and I am looking forward to an amazing week learning with an amazing class.
