Hello fabulous fourth grade families,

It is hard to believe that this week is the final full week of school. There are many fun activities planned for this week. Field Day is Friday June 7th from 9am-11am. Please ensure your child wears their team colors.

Below is what we will be focusing on this week!

ELA: This week in ELA we will continue reading our final class read-aloud, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

Math: This week in math we will finish Module 20- Relative Sizes of Metric Measurement. There will be a quiz on Quiz, 6-5, but NO TEST for Module 20. Students will be given the conversion chart, and do not need to memorize the conversions. As always, please see the resources on google classroom.

Religion: In Religion we will be breaking up into teams to work on creating a rap to a bible verse.

Social Studies: This week in S.S. will begin chapter 8. This unit focuses on the purpose for government. Students will read a section of the non-fiction graphic novel, For Which We Stand, and create a poster, brochure, or powerpoint to share their learning.

Science: In science we will be in the STEAM lab creating Rue Goldberg Machines to learn about energy transfers and appy what we have learned about energy.

Blessings,
Ms. Stainkamp
