Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
Happy Last Week of School!
It is hard to believe that the school year is officially coming to an end. Please be sure to help your child empty their backpacks out each week as we begin to send home school supplies over the course of the next few days.
Below is what we will be focusing on this week!
ELA: This week in ELA we will continue reading our final class read-aloud, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
Math: This week in math we will be completing an elapsed time activity to help students become familiar and aware of how elapsed time is used in everyday life. This project asks students to plan out a day at the zoo with several requirements. This activity will be counted as the module 21 test and quiz 🙂
Religion: In Religion we will be breaking up into teams to work on creating a rap/song to a bible verse.
Social Studies: This week in S.S. will begin chapter 8. This unit focuses on the purpose for government. Students will read a section of the non-fiction graphic novel, For Which We Stand, and create a poster, brochure, or powerpoint to share their learning.
Science: In science we will be finishing our learning in the STEAM lab creating Rue Goldberg Machines to learn about energy transfers and appy what we have learned about energy.
Blessings,
Ms. Stainkamp
