This week we will be focusing on the following topics in each subject listed below.
ELA- This week we will continue our class read aloud, Thank You Jackie Robinson, by Barbara Cohen. We will also be reading a short story, Wind, from storyworks. We will also continue to work on our Personal Narrative Writing. There will be a spelling quiz on Friday.
Math- This week we will finish chapter 8, Multiplying Fractions by Whole Numbers. There will be a quiz on Thursday for Chapter 8. There will be NO TEST for chapter 8.
Social Studies- This week we will continue chapter 4, The Revolutionary War in New York State. We will be working on differentiating between loyalists and patriots.
Science- This week we will continue our unit of study: The Human Machine, learning about how our eyes work. We will also be celebrating the Olympics with a special STEAM activity.
Religion- This week in religion we will continue to learn about the Old Testament story of Joseph and his coat of many colors, Genesis 37
