Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
ELA: This week in ELA will be focusing on readings “Nothing Can Stop Him,” and “Building New Body Parts.” We will be working on the skills of synthesizing and using content related vocabulary to answer comprehension questions. There will be a comprehension and vocabulary quiz on the texts on Friday. In grammar we will be learning about irregular verbs.
Math: This week in math we will complete Module 15, Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers with like and unlike denominators.
Religion: In Religion we will be learning about the Armor of God.
Social Studies: This week in S.S. will start Chapter 6 – Social Change and the Civil War. We will be learning about technologies and new forms of transportation. Specifically, we will be learning about the Erie Canal.
Science: In science we will begin our next unit of study, the human body. Each week we will be exploring a new system in the human body. We will be starting to make our life size human bodies.
