Hello fabulous fourth grade families,
It is hard to believe that it is the final week of April. Please know that your child may begin to wear their uniform shorts to school starting on Monday April 22nd. As the weather begins to get warm please remind your child to continue to bring a sweater to school as they may get chilly with the A.C. on.

ELA: This week in ELA will be focusing on finishing The Report Card by Andrew Clements. We will be focusing on the skill of plot, and characterization. There will be a spelling test on Friday 4-26 for The Report Card Spelling Words. In grammar we will be learning about adjectives as well as how and when to use a, an, and the. In writing we will continue writing our personal narratives.

Math: This week in math we will start and finish Module 16, Multiplying Fractions by Whole Numbers. This is a quick module. There will be a quiz on Friday. There will be NO TEST for module 16. Please see Google Classroom for important videos and handouts.

Religion: In Religion we will begin learning about the Parables of Jesus.

Social Studies: This week in S.S. will continue Chapter 6 – Social Change and the Civil War. We will be learning about the changes that fueled the start of the civil war. Our next social studies project is a choice board. Your child may pick any choice and complete it in relation to the time period around the Civil War. This project is due on May 3rd.

Science: In science we will continue to learn about the human body as we make our life size human bodies.

Blessings,
Ms. Stainkamp
