Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s school notes. I am excited to start a new school year with your children, even with the challenges we all face. The children are so adaptable and seem to go with the flow. I will be posting what we are doing in class each week. Specific pages and scanned worksheets will be posted on our Google Classroom.
We will be reviewing in ELA this week. Starting next week, we will be doing a new lesson every week. Each lesson will have a new story, spelling and vocabulary words, phonics and grammar concepts.
We began chapter 1 (addition) in Math, and homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. It is a review of what was taught in class that day.
In Social Studies, our first lesson is about families, rules, and addresses. Please help your child learn his/her address this week.
Our handwriting curriculum will help the children to properly form their letters and numbers, as I will be correcting improperly formed letters on their written work.
In Science, we will be talking about the Coronavirus and finding out if anything like this has ever happened before.
