Happy New Year to all the families! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this week are: chin, chop, much, chip, rich, chick. The “R” book words on the test are: know, never, out, very. The children will write their words 3x each for homework and write 3 sentences by Thursday. The test will be on Friday.
Phonics- ch and –tch words
Language Arts- possessives
Reading: We will read the story How Leopard got his Spots. The children will read it again at home. There will be a Reading test on Friday. Please make sure that your child studies the 8 “R” book words nightly. They will need to read them for the test.
Math- Chapter 6- Place value
Social Studies- There will be a test on book 2 on Thursday (the book was sent home before the break). Children should know all the yellow highlighted words in the book.
Weekly Reader- New Year Resolutions

Please send in new supplies for your child if they are in need of crayons, pencils, glue sticks, markers, or erasers.
Pizza money due by Thursday morning.
