I hope everyone had a great weekend! This is such a busy time of year, we will be making projects and practicing for our Christmas program in between our lessons this week.
SPELLING- The new words (10) for this week are whip, catch, chin, shop, many, whole, match, graph, with, around. The words should be written in “S” book by Wednesday. We will have a spelling test on Friday.
READING- Lesson 10- We will read “Fun with Maps” in our readers. The concepts that will be covered this week are: ch, -tch, wh, and ph words; plural nouns with -es ending; using capital letters and periods
The new “R” book words are: by, many, place, walk
The test will be given on Friday.
PHONICS- short e words; blending words
MATH- Continue with chapter 6, unknown addends
SOCIAL STUDIES- Cardinal dirctions; Maps
RELIGION- stories about prophets
SCIENCE- How do Polar bears stay warm?

Our Christmas luncheon is on Thursday. Thank you to our class moms for organizing this event, and to all who are sending in items for our party.
The K-3 Christmas pageant is Tuesday at 7 pm. Please arrive by 6:45. The children should wear dress clothes for the show.
