Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this lesson are: on, got, fox, pop, not, hop. The new vocabulary (“R” book) words are: she, now, today, would. The children will write all 10 spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday.
Phonics- /o/, blends, -ock words
Language Arts- statements
Reading: The story is “A Musical Day”. The tests for lesson 8 will be given on Friday. Please make sure that your child reads the story at home. The test questions will include asking the order that things happen in the story (before and after). They also have to know who narrates the story.
Math- Continue chapter 3- addition strategies
Religion- Daily devotions and bible stories
Social Studies- Our Government
Weekly Reader- Veteran’s Day

Our Star of the Week is Sumner!
School is closed Thursday (11/11) in observance of Veteran’s Day. We will still have our usual tests on Friday, in reading and spelling.
Parent/teacher conference will be held on Thursday, 11/18. You will be able to sign up for a conference time online. This is an important conference to discuss your child’s progress.
Please make sure that your child has at least 2 masks each day. They often break or get wet and I do not have many extras. They get frequent mask breaks throughout the day.
