Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling-We are doing lesson 7 this week, and the words are: in, will, did, sit, six, big. The vocabulary (“R” book) words are: animal, of, how, some, make, why. The children will write their 12 words 3x each by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on lesson 7 on Friday.
Phonics- words with short i; r blends; -ip words
Language Arts- commas in a series
Reading: We will read the story How Animals Communicate. The children will read it again at home. There will be Reading tests on Friday. We will be learning about using a glossary.
Math- addition strategies- Test next week
Religion- Daily devotions and Bible stories from religion book 2.
Social Studies- Unit 1 test on Tuesday- Books were sent home last week. Review highlighted vocabulary words in book 1
Weekly Reader- Pumpkins

Our Star of the Week is Riley!
We are having a Fall Pumpkin Party on Wednesday. Thank you to our class moms for organizing it and to those who will be sending in goodies!
October morning work folders are going home this week.
Please ask your child if they are in need of any school supplies (pencils, glue, etc.) and send them in as soon as possible.
