EXCITING HAPPENINGS IN PRE-K

JESUS’ TIME-     Christ is Risen!  He is Risen, indeed!  Alleluia!

      We are following Jesus’ appearances right to the Sea of Galilee as we hear him telling us to Feed His Lambs.  We even had a breakfast of bread and fish with Him on the beach.

     Jesus then reminds us that He will always be with us.

SCIENCE-     Flowers –  We dissected an Easter lily, learning it’s parts.

                                             Dug up dandelions, painted with the flowers

                                             Smelled the hyacinths

                          Reptiles-  From dinosaurs to the turtle, Spike. which our friend,       Casey  brought in for a visit. We actually touched his scales.

                                             Did you know that Sea Turtles are endangered?

                          Insects-   We are waiting for wings.

                        The  In school field trip was great with seashells and sea creatures

SOCIAL STUDIES-  Transportation

                             boats, trucks, buses, trains, bikes, skates, horses

                            men at work uses machines

                            Our work is play:  trucks in the sand

                                                             trucks in the hall

                                                             matching trucks by size and purpose

                                                             trucks in puzzles

                            Did you know that there is even a computer program about

                            trucks?

LETTERS AND SOUNDS-  TJ and Megan had the Tt bucket.

                                                        Ben and Benny had the Nn bucket.

                                                        Great Job by all!

                                  We are all working on and reading our letters and sounds book.

LIBRARY- We are all checking our books to read at home.  Yeah!!

MUSIC- We attended the dress rehearsal of the concert band.

                  We are organizing our  own band.

                  Mrs. Pollitt brought members of the orchestra to our room to play the

                  motifs from PETER AND THE WOLF with real instruments.  Thank you!
