This week in ELA, we wrap up Poetry Month.
This week’s focus will be the poetic term Personification. We will first review the word, then read a poem that includes this poetic device. Next we will focus on writing original poems using personification as the theme of the poem.
Thursday, the students will read “Mother to Son” and analyze the poem, as well as answer questions.
Friday, the students will take a unit exam on Poetry terms. They have a review packet to study from.
