Hello!
6th and 7th grade have completed their novels and will begin working on their novel assessments. Students are required to complete a plot diagram chart, write a summary and create an online scrapbook. All work is being presented in class and will be 100% completed in class. These three assignments will count as test grades for trimester 2.
8th grade will be finishing their novel reading and then, they too, will be completing their assessments as mentioned above.

Our students started an ELA Reading Contest. The goal is read as many books (100 pages or more) in the months of December and January. One winner will be chosen from each class to have lunch with me from a location of their choosing. The students have to keep a reading log to participate and PARTICIPATION IS VOLUNTARY!
If anyone has any books they would like to donate to our classroom library, I am always thrilled to accept!!! The books are flying off the shelves and I am so happy to see them all engaged in reading!
