Welcome back to school! I hope everyone enjoyed winter break. I can’t believe this is already the first week of March.  I am very excited for warmer weather and springtime fun!

This week is Read Across America Week and we will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Tuesday, March 1st. We have a fun themed week planned for the kids which includes special dress up days, Dr. Seuss books and crafts. A schedule for the week is listed below.

Wednesday is Ash Wednesday so we will learn this week about Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. We will be reading One Fish, Two Fish, Fox in Socks, and Ten Apples Up on Top. We will read a Scholastic My Big Day reader about March titled Do You Hear the Weather. In talking about the weather we will talk about how March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.

Upcoming Important Dates:
March 1 – Return to School
March 1 – Celebrate Reading Week: Fox in Socks: Wear crazy socks
March 3 – Celebrate Reading Week: One Fish, Two Fish: Wear something red and/or blue
March 17 – ECC Green Day (Trinity students and staff wear green)

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me through ClassDojo or via email [email protected]. I wish everyone a happy and safe week.
