Dear Parents,
It was so nice meeting you all at “Meet the Teacher Day.” Please know that Ms. Kelly and I want the very best for your children and we are going to have a fun-filled year, as well as many fun and exciting learning experiences. We had a wonderful first week of school getting to know all about our students and friends. The children are doing a wonderful job getting adjusted to our class routines. We also read “The Kissing Hand.”
For religious instruction, we learned to sing the song “Jesus Loves Me.” The children also learned how important it is to share with one another and to always be kind to our friends. They displayed their acts of kindness in the classroom and on the playground this past week.
This week we will be learning about the life cycle of an apple. We will make an apple pie with our friends from the other nursery classes and have an apple taste test and graph our results. We will also learn about the color red and read the book “The Little Red Hen.”
For religious instruction, we will continue to learn the song “Jesus Loves Me.”
Important Dates to Remember:
- Sept,15th – Wear Red clothing for “Red Day”
- Sept. 19th – Back to School Night (7:00 pm)
- Please remember to check your child’s folder for important information, as well as the artwork they work so hard on and would love for you to see.
- Please remember to send back your child’s “All About Me” picture so they can present it in class.
