Dear Parents,

We missed the children this past week, but hope you had a wonderful Easter with your families.

This week we are excited to talk to the children about what a solar eclipse is.  We will explain that a solar eclipse happens when the moon comes between the Earth and the sun, blocking out the sun and casting a shadow over the Earth.   The children will also make a cute solar eclipse craft.

The children will learn how to recognize, sound out and write the letter X for X-ray.  This month our science unit will be on the different types of pond life.  This week we will be teaching the children about frogs and their environment.  For religious instruction, the children will learn that Jesus comes to two disciples.
