Dear Parents,
We hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We had a great week, but have so much in store for this coming week!
This coming week, we will learn about the letter J for Jesus. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and trace the letter J. This week is “Read Across America.” week. We will be learning about the works of Dr. Seuss. On Monday, we will learn about One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. We will read the story, and the children will do a fun, hand print craft. On Tuesday we will read “Fox in Socks” to the children, and they make a craft of a decorated sock. On Wednesday, we will read “Wacky Wednesday.” Don’t forget to dress your child in their wackiest clothes. Thursday, we will read “Green Eggs and Ham,” On Friday, we will read “Cat in the Hat” and make a fun hat craft where the children will trace rhyming words.
For Math instruction, we will graph different colored goldfish during snack time. The kids will then count how many of each color they have. .
For religious instruction, we will celebrate Lent and Ash Wednesday. We will have chapel on Wednesday, and Pastor will discuss Lent.
IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:
- March 3rd, Monday – One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (Dress your child in red and/or blue).
- March 4th, Tuesday – Fox in Socks Day (Dress your child in crazy socks. Scholastic Book Fair for children who paid online.
- March 5th, Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday (Dress your child in their wackiest clothing)
- March 6th, Thursday – Green Eggs and Ham Day (Wear Green)
- March 7th, Friday – Cat in the Hat Day (Wear your favorite pajamas for a movie and special snack)
