Dear Parents,
Last week we learned about the letter Q for quilt. The children learned how to recognize, sound out and write the letter Q. We finished our arctic animal unit and will finish decorating our folder and send it home this week. We also learned about dental health in preparation for our visit from the dentist this Monday.
This week the children will be learning how to recognize, sound out and write the letter R for rose. We will continue to talk to the children about our unit on family and love. We will also prepare for Valentines Day by making valentines to decorate our classroom. We will also be doing our scholastic weekly reader this week. Our Valentines Day party is on Wednesday. For math instruction we will learn how to write the number 7.
For religious instruction, the children will learn about the baptism of Jesus.

- February 14th – Valentines Day Party (Wear Red or Pink), also Ash Wednesday – First day of Lent
- February 19th – 23rd – NO SCHOOL for Winter Recess
