Dear Parents,
This past week we learned about the letter T for Thankful. We learned what it means to be thankful for all that we have in our lives. We learned about the color purple and finished our “mixing colors” book. If your child’s book wasn’t sent home this past week, we will send it home by Wednesday. The children also learned about The Five Little Turkeys.
This week we will not be learning a letter since it will be a short week. We will pick up on letter after the Thanksgiving break. We will focus on what it means to be thankful and make a “thankful cross” that will be used to decorate the Multi Purpose Room for our Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday. The children also finished making their Thanksgiving place mats which they will use for our Feast and then send home. The children that did not present their turkey disguise craft will be presenting them this week. We will also continue practicing our songs for our Christmas Program. The children are so excited for the show and are doing such a fantastic job learning the songs!
For religious instruction, we will continue learning about the Fruit of the Spirit by making a cornucopia. Through this activity, the children will also practice their math skills, such as counting, identifying shapes, and sorting.
