The children spent the week learning about leaves and fall trees. They learned about their senses as they explored real leaves outside. They learned about the different types of leaves and the trees they come from. The children also learned why leaves change color and eventually fall from the tree.

Next week we will learn about turkeys and feathers.  The children will create many cute turkey crafts. We will read the book, “How To Catch A Turkey” by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton, and ” All About Turkeys” by Jim Arnosky. The children will learn all about turkeys through our readings and crafts that they will be making. We will be sending home a “Disguise a turkey” craft for you to complete with your child and return to school. We will also learn about the letter Tt for turkey.  The children will learn how to recognize and sound out the letter Tt.

For our math lesson, the children will practice their counting skills with a “turkey roll and color” worksheet. They will roll the dice and color the turkey with the corresponding number.

During Jesus Time, we will talk about how Thankful we are to God for everything we have.
