Dear Parents,
Last week we learned about the snowy owl and made an owl craft. The children also learned how to recognize and sound out the letter O for owl.
This week we will continue our science unit on arctic animals by learning about Penguins and Polar Bears. The children will also learn how to sound out and write the letter P for Penguin. We will do our Scholastic (My Big World) activity called “A Puffin is not a Penguin.” For math instruction, we will learn how to recognize and write the number 5. We will also learn about the significance of Groundhog Day. We will also make a class chart on whether or not we think the groundhog will see his shadow this year.
For religious instruction, we will learn that Jesus loves children.
