Wow! Welcome to the last week of January. Spring will be here in no time. I am very excited for Lutheran School Spirit Week this week. I can’t wait to see all the boys and girls show their school spirit. The theme of spirit week is “In All Things” as we celebrate Christ is with us in all we do.
This week we will finish up with our winter animals theme and we will talk about bears and hibernation. We will make a fun bear craft and learn a poem about bears hibernating. We will read How to be a Superhero and Bear Snores On. On Monday we will make an “S” for Superhero craft and brainstorm what it means to be a “Superhero”, or a good friend/person. For Jesus time we will talk about how much Jesus loves us and how He blesses the little children. We started learning the song “Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World” last week and we will continue it this week.

January 24: Superhero Day – Dress like your favorite superhero
January 26: Pajama Day – Wear your favorite pajamas to school
January 28 – No School for Parent Teacher Conferences (please make sure to sign up)
January 31 – Heritage Day – Wear something special to celebrate your heritage
February 14: Red Day
February 21 – February 25: No school for winter recess
February 28 – First day back to school after winter recess
