Happy Super Bowl Sunday ! This is our last week before winter break and we have a lot to do. Monday is our Valentine’s Day party, Wednesday we will celebrate Dental Health Month and Friday we will learn about President’s Day.
Monday is ECC Red Day. Please dress your child in something red. We will finish up our Valentine’s Day crafts, eat some yummy red snacks and have a “love” dance party. We have two Scholastic Readers this week – Hearts All Around and Healthy Smiles Animal Teeth. Wednesday we will learn about the importance of keeping our teeth healthy. We will be going on a virtual field trip to Kiddsmiles to learn all about going to the dentist and Kiddsmiles has graciously given us dental kits for each child. To finish off the week, we will learn about our Presidents and think about what we would do if we were President of our classroom.
There will be lots of singing in class this week: If You Love Me and You Know It, Five Little Hearts, and The Heart Song. We will read Happy Valentine’s Day Mouse, Pete the Cat Valentine’s Day is Cool, Olivia and the Perfect Valentine, and Duck for President. For Jesus time this week, we will learn that Jesus is with us in school and in all we do. We will read the story Little Blue Truck’s Valentine and talk about how Jesus loves us all and we all have love in our hearts for everyone.
