I can’t believe it’s one and a half weeks left before Thanksgiving. As we remember to be thankful for all that we are blessed with, please remember to send in your donations for the National Junior Honor Society food drive to help out those less fortunate. Our contribution is diapers, baby wipes, and baby food. Donations are being collected until Friday, November 19th.  As we strive to keep everyone safe, please remember to complete the daily attestations each morning prior to coming to school.

This week we will focus on what Thanksgiving means. Our My Big World reader this week is A Heart Full of Thanks. We will talk about what it means to be thankful, our favorite foods to eat during Thanksgiving, and the life cycle of a turkey. We will continue to work on our fall crafts and crafts for our Thanksgiving celebration. Our celebration will be on Wednesday, November 24th.  The children will enjoy a Thanksgiving feast provided by Trinity, followed by deserts graciously donated by you, followed by our Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.  You are invited to walk with your child as we raise money for the charity Long Island Cares.

We have started practicing for our Christmas Program.  I hope the children are singing away at home the songs that they have learned so far. I’m very excited for our Christmas Program and the week before our winter break.  We have so many fun activities in store! Our Christmas Program will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Chapel.

Last week we finished talking about creation.  This week for Jesus time, we will make a creation book that is sure to be a great conversation starter at Thanksgiving dinner!
